Faced with growth, space limitations, and a disjointed facility layout, Holy Trinity came to Station 19 Architects seeking clarity and opportunity. Their sanctuary could no longer accommodate their growing congregation, the building’s “front door” lacked visibility and orientation, and their kitchen ministry operated in a space that had become unsafe and inefficient due to years of piecemeal updates.

With budget constraints preventing expansion, Station 19 focused on creative solutions within the existing footprint. By reorienting the sanctuary, the design brought immediate clarity to the building’s entrance—visitors now walk through the front doors and instantly know where to go. This reconfiguration also enabled the removal of underutilized classroom walls, expanding seating capacity and improving flow. A new focal wall was introduced at the platform, embracing and enhancing the sanctuary’s original mid-century modern aesthetic.

Other improvements prioritized hospitality and family-friendly features. A seldom-used library was transformed into a welcoming family lobby for parents and young children. Classrooms received fresh finishes, with new carpet and paint bringing energy and warmth to the education spaces.

In the kitchen, Station 19 addressed long-standing safety and functionality issues. The space was completely reimagined into a cohesive, well-zoned area that supports prep, warming, dishwashing, and safe collaboration—all while eliminating hazardous finishes and outdated equipment. The result is a kitchen that not only functions well but fosters a true sense of ministry and connection.

By partnering with Station 19, the congregation gained more than a refreshed space—they gained room to grow, a clear sense of identity, and environments that support community, worship, and service for years to come.
