We custom design building and facility solutions based on a ministry or organization’s long-term strategic goals. With our maxim of “Listen first” steering all of our projects, we spend time and energy on the front end ensuring we understand the culture and vision of the organization. Every plan is different because every organization is different. At Station 19, we steer with clarity the design, development, and planning process for your project.
Founded in 1974, we celebrated our 40th Anniversary as Station 19 Architects, Inc in 2014. A family-owned business from the start, founder Darrel LeBarron began serving churches out of a passion for guiding ministries through the organizational challenges of a building project. The current principals have been practicing together since 1999.
Our studio of over 40 years, Minneapolis Fire Station 19, is one of two remaining original Minneapolis fire stations. Located across from the TCF Bank Stadium near the University of Minnesota campus, the building is on the National Historical Registry and is the birthplace of amateur softball in the United States.
We bring our experience together with quality, growing ministries to meet their needs with effective solutions achieved through a dedication to faith, trust, and visioning. As Creative Problem Clarifiers, we empower our clients to make decisions from the range of choices available to them; working with them to guide the process toward its best conclusion.
Our desire is to partner. We aren't in this to gain awards or recognition but to see our clients fulfill the vision and mission of their ministries. To that end we are focused on creativity with an emphasis on quality and innovative design. We believe that by listening first, the design process yields results that empower leadership and capture visions.
