Your Vision. Our Experience

Station 19 walked with Sanctuary Church of North Minneapolis through the process of selecting a site and setting a development and construction plan. We partnered with the leadership through each stage of the process. The plan captures the vision of the church while serving as a transition between the residential neighborhood and West Broadway’s commercial corridor.

About the Church

Sanctuary is a diverse congregation dedicated to building bridges of reconciliation in North Minneapolis. They are providing a safe place for reconciliation and conversation in their North Minneapolis community.

Where They Built

Sanctuary Church selected an underutilized site with condemned & empty buildings. One of the buildings on the lot was salvaged—a heavy block warehouse building—to become the spacious, bright lobby for their new worship center. It will reference its industrial roots with exposed ceilings and beams. It is a transition between a residential neighborhood & West Broadway’s commercial corridor with access to bus & bike transportation.

Building Facts

Location: 2018 Aldrich Ave N

  • 19,577 sq. ft.
  • 500-seat multi-purpose worship center with additional overflow for 100
  • 11 multi-purpose classroom/meeting spaces

How Station 19 Helped

When Sanctuary Church decided it was time to build, Station 19 was honored to become part of the team. We partnered with their leadership and congregation to help make their vision a reality. From finding the right location to capturing their heart for reconciliation and restoration, we became part of a team that is looking toward the future of North Minneapolis.

Kids Spaces

Designing a church space isn’t just about a sanctuary. It’s more than auditorium size or sound system upgrades. It’s about vision. It’s about designing a space that will reach people. It’s about bringing them together and fostering community.

This makes reaching families crucial.

Station 19 partners with churches like Berean Baptist and Emmanuel Christian Center to make their vision for reaching families a reality.

Berean Baptist is committed to giving youth a fun, safe space to connect with friends and discover and explore their faith. Station 19 was able to design a space to make that happen with an open, versatile youth space.

Emmanuel Christian Center’s Kids ministry needed something secure that would invite kids and families into an authentic caring community. Their kids’ ministry space is giving the entire family an opportunity to connect and grow.

When our design experience is joined with the visions of different ministries, we can create fun, secure spaces where families matter and relationships grow; where faith is brought to life.
